Gus Irani Trophy - Sunday Feb 28The old Club favourite is this Sunday! Race around local islands and marks, and finish near Po Toi. Enjoy a local seafood meal before setting sail for the Club. Skippers' briefing at 10:30 with racing to start soon after.Cheung Chau Challenge - March 13 & 14A Club vs. Club challenge weekend. The Hobie Club (sailing Hobie 16s) will take on LBC (sailing Hobie 16s & Dart 18s). There will also be some long distance races for the Tiger fleet. Sailors can stay overnight on Cheung Chau (the Warwick Hotel is right by the sailing beach - please see special accommodation offer from the Warwick Hotel below) and enjoy a seafood dinner and the Cheung Chau nightlife. The Notice of Race is completed and you can also enter online here.Weihai has easy access from Beijing and Seoul with many flights each day. Weihai has a long wide sandy beach with the host hotel less than three minute walk to the sailing. Weihai s a lovely sailing venue with unique culture. Weihai also has many headlands with historical buildings for the tourist to enjoy. August is the warmest month in Weihai ensuring warm water and some good sailing breezes. Philippine Hobie National Championships 2010 - ResultsThe Philippine Hobie National Championships were held last weekend out of Tali Beach, Punta Fuego. Congratulations to Tong Shing / Kit Tong for their 2nd place in the Hobie 16 Open Division and for their 1st place in the Masters Division. The other HK Hobie Club representatives, John and Iris Ashwood, finished a respectable 9th in the 15-strong Hobie 16 Open Division. |
